so I'm falling deeply and madly in love with a fellow stoic who keeps his cards as close to his chest as I do.
any relationship advice from fellow deep thinkers on how to communicate without sounding psychotically obsessed or glacially cool?

Re: plunging in...
Tue, June 21, 2005 - 7:48 PMIf you want to remain true to the form then you have to wait till you two are alone the throw them up againt a wall and declare your love.
You can also just turn up the collar on your trench coat and walk off into the darkness. -

Re: plunging in...
Wed, June 22, 2005 - 11:00 AMnow, see, that would be my usual MO, but I'm really hoping not to repeat all my past mistake with this one.
I'm sure I'll make new and different mistakes, but I'm at least hoping to not make the same old ones... -

Re: plunging in...
Wed, June 22, 2005 - 12:57 PMIt is only a mistake with the wrong person (wrong for you). Someone who can feel the heat and passion will instantly fall in love with you. They just won't express it overtly. You have to look for the subtle signs. -

Re: plunging in...
Wed, July 20, 2005 - 3:49 PMMy advice is to take it very sslllooowwww... Don't rush! Test the waters, find out what makes him tick... THEN formulate a plan. I know that, speaking for myself...the surest way to send me running the other direction is to have people come on strong with me. Everyone loves to feel like they are the only one that matters.....make him feel that way once you know his likes and dislikes. I try and treat others the way I like to be treated......and it seems to work..at least on the "friendship" level. Maybe....get to be his best friend first! Now...I must write down this sage advice and repeat it to myself!!!!! (wink!)
